One of the big challenges for Brazil before it hosts the 2016 Olympics is getting a handle on violent crime. The major cities — Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo — have long been plagued by murderous gang violence.

The Interlagos Raceway in Sao Paulo, Brazil will stage the last race of the 2010 FIA GT1 World Championship, organizers announced on Saturday. It will be the first time that the event is held on Brazilian soil.
